"Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye stedfast, unmovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labour in not in vain in the Lord."
1. The Revelation of His Labour
It is a command to the brethren that we must "work" under His mighty.
1a. We are being commended to "serve" Him. It is not an option of any Christ-believer or just a suggestion from same faith.
1b. We must "go" on the mission field and prepare on to the battle! When we hear the call we must immediately respond from it.

HOW: We must serve God "always" and "abounding" or overflowing. We must contribute for the betterment.
2a. The Recipient of His Labour
Let God be your inspiration, don't work under any organization of religion. Always think that it's though it's hard to work with God because there could be an earthly tribulation, BUT it's harder to stop working "without" God.
2b. The Position of Inspiration
We get the inspiration to our "Lord", He is the Master, our Creator, He owns us. We ought to do what He wants --- and it's our privilege.
3. The Reliability if our Labour
It is stated that we shall act and think being "unmovable" and "stedfast".
WHY: Because as a human, we are always a good starter and bad finisher. Mostly we tend to quit or easily disheartened so this verse will remind us to be consistent.
3a. Satan uses "people" to discourage (Galatians 5:7)
It can be seen especially if you are serving in the ministry. Keep on serving God because you are not accountable to man anyway.
3b. Satan uses "prosperity" in man's life (I Timothy 6:10).
If God bless you, be "humble" and "serve" more anyway. God give and take the blessings in our life. So we must be watchful and vigilant at all times.
3c. Satan uses "pleasure", one-time (I Timothy 4:10)
If we are not careful enough, turn our back from Him, we will be sided with the worldly pleasures around us --- flesh engagement, lust in our eyes, unkind words, materialistic.
3d. Satan uses "problems" frequently (Galatians 6:9)
Our enemy knows our weak points too...God can deliver us from sin and He us a promise of forgiveness once we truly repented. Give everything to God that taking the pride of life that we seemed we can handle.
4. The Reason for our Labour
God says, it's not in vain all the works and offers we did. However, if we work while indulged in the sinful deeds, it will be wasteful. Our God is a jealous (Exodus 20:5) that we should not serve any other gods - world. God is love but don't forget God is wrath.
4a. Worthwhile in this present world - have part on people's salvation.
4b. Worthwhile in the world to come - look forward, upward in heaven.
5. The Reward for our Labour
In everything, there will always be a payday. Like when we are working in a company or owns a business, if we laboured hard, we will reap it in the end. In heaven, crowns are about to received (James 1:12).
5a. Resist in Physical Temptation and;
...no need to be discouraged...
5b. Resist in Trials and Temptation
...and you will be blessed...
Conclusion
"Therefore", would you be willing to GO and SERVE Him!
