How to Plan Ahead When You Felt Behind?

Have you ever grill yourself on your own started fire?  Have you thought that your plan works well if you be firm?  Have you accepted things that are unacceptable or forgive people with seemed to be unforgivable assimilation on you?  Well, here are the tips I have to live by and in case I will forever lost or loss in the track of life:

1.  Live It Everyday.
I always had see the end process so I must face the reality of now.  I don't want to live on the fantasy of tomorrow.  For instance, spend money because anyway I will be having salary next month?  Eat on a fancy restaurant with friends (or else they're not your real friends?)  Book ticket and have a vacation that is out of the budget.  I stick on my plans everyday and create a vision dream board in my mind!

2.  Live and Walk the Talk.
Best things to change is you announce it in public.  In which people can push, oppose or support you.  Sharing the things you want to do or currently doing.  For example, when I want to start my first business - preschool in our town.  I share to my group of friends and helped me gather more information. I make sure that these friends will have a constructive point of views.  Then, I would learn to innovate myself and hitting a straightforward path towards my dream.

3.  Live and Take the Challenge.
Most of us wants to live plentifully but regret or avoids challenges.  Well, in fact, once you conquer things ahead of you, more likely you will be able to take greater responsibilities.  A lot of stories of elite successful people how they took and overcame blockage in them.  Whether it would be personal, relational or financial hindrances.  The determination and perseverance of a truthful believer and dreamer will never fail to keep trying or finding.

4.  Live to Sacrifice.
I often remember back my family back home - in Philippines.  My second youngest sister who I've support her college and graduated as Cum Laude in BS Elementary Education and my youngest sister that's my beneficiaries too in her college as BS Management Information System.  My father and mother who were under medications.  Our eldest who just started family.  My worries are also my priorities.  My priorities are my sacrifices.  Myself who sworn that I will offer good life to my future wife.  I shall not be moved, no turning back!

5.  Live to Benefit Others.
Someone asked me what's my drive of putting up business(es) - preschool, canteen, traditional and more.  I told her because I want to help other and make my life a channel of blessings, to my loved ones and others who are underprivileged.  Though, they can't understand and see a boring answer, I felt it was a noble thing to do when you let see hopes to their eyes.  It will become habitual and the flow of blessings coming from your hands will also like a river that never dry off.

6.  Live and Let Go.
There are good that cannot be fair and fair that is not good enough to the sight of others.  There are things that we demand for proper explanation but the short answer would be acceptance.  When we hold on to the grudges of life and blame the external situation ignoring the inside of us, makes us dying-pride-man.  I mean, since God has given us the undeserved merits, it is rightful not to hold on things that is not ours.  If the business will ruin you as a person, let go!  If money will make others disrespect you, stay afar!  If fame will swallow you up, release. If you are strangled with problems and you will indulged yourself more on it, it's suicide!  Looking back, you will realized you've made a perfect decision.

7.  Live and Move On.
We live and die, with a simple reminder that it's constant in life.  So we must enjoy the fullness of gift of life (with limitation, God's covenant) and know the secret when we die (KJV Bible for references).  It's difficult to explain that life should go on.  We must frail not even we are lambasted by the situations or people.  We must remember every time a tear falls, there's someone willing to wipe it away.  Expectation will keep us on track but later will frustrates us.  If  either the two will happen defines us how, so move on!

What To-Do When Your Boss is Not Around?

Have you tried celebrating at the office when your leader is not around?  Buying pizza and throwing party with the staff?

Often than not, we ourselves will find time to travel and engulf with different environment, talk with other people to see various opinions and observed things for better perspective... Here are some tips for you to maintain the relevance at work and as a person or staff.

1.  Blogging than Facebooking!
Choose the right venue.  It is more efficient nowadays to have announce what you're doing in Facebook.  However, there is always a disadvantage when you do it there (especially when s/he is at your friends'list).  The moment when your boss arrived, she will also be actively online, checking the cyber web world!  So make sure, you keep your integrity and reliability to them.  As always been discussed, what describe us is when no one is looking at us.

Blogging is another way of expressing more soulful than even.  Here you will be able to narrate what's happening. Of course, try to do it after work because it takes time to produce an article.  Nevertheless, if you have no work and you want to be occupied, you can do such.  Make sure that when you blog, it touches your personal and professional learning to be non-biased.  Safeguard yourself than to say sorry on the next day.

2.  Read than Rest!
Always be one step ahead of the game.  Communicate with your boss even she is not around or unlikely she will read the message.  It's the best time to read books, articles related from your work and handbook that entails your.  I have a 5 years old student before and her cognitive skills are very impressive.  She commended that, "sleeping is a waste of time, even when the light is off, I still open my books to read."  It was a powerful statement that until now motivates me to do productive ways than idle.  While they had refreshed from the trip, you must share fresh ideas from other's insight!

Rest is a good time when everyone is busy.  It's ironic to hear and see that while the rest were like a rat running around, you are more calm and taking things easily.  Most of the people who are good in to be leader can actually think properly when everybody are exhausted.  This is the time to show them that you can make things bearable, doable and workable.

3.  Evaluate than Celebrate
Well, I know many will say I'm hypocrite!  But I can't celebrate while conquering the battle alone at work.  I need to be more cautious in the operation, handling the small problems or solving complicated ones.  Impossible for me to enjoy while I knew that there will be loads in a day!  Until, when s/he came back without reaching any complaints and tapping me at the back for a job well when they arrived safely.

I think like a boss.  This is the most easiest way to win them and trust you.  If you will relax the whole time, the tendency is you will overlook the matters that needs for improvement, attention or recommendation.  Have a time to do small celebration perhaps after work like buying comfort foods.  This should come after your habit even they are around.

Remember:  When it's your time to go oversea, planned holidays or have unexpected leave...they will reciprocate your actions.

How to Earn More When You Live Less?

"Filipinos in SG are living just like
an average employee in PH."

I arrived in Singapore (SG) 19 April 2010 when I decided to stop my Master in Guidance and Counseling degree (one year)...when I thought of earning money than spending into education in Philippines (PH).  For me, I realized to study further means delaying the things what I can do as a young professional and help my own family in our financial status.  (Not in many, that when they continue to study, opportunities are much greater ahead of them).  I promised and prayed that "never go back to PH without job here".  Ironically, people knew I was on vacation.

God is good.  I remember when I told my office seatmate's that I will be an OFW at aged 23, God forget not.  I turned 23 on 2010 and I was here in SG to test my faith.  After few days of my job hunting and searching on the internet, I was flooded by the interview and got hired by the companies.  The challenging is if Ministry of Manpower (MoM) in SG will approved my pass to stay?  God is really good as I can work for two years after I received SMS that I passed!

It was not an easy road, not for me and for many who started to work 5 years ago.  They have various stories to tell and undiscovered sacrifices they have made.  Likewise, I slept at the sofa of my family friend to survive in the next 3 to 6mos.  When I got the regular status in the company, I decided to move to a much nearer where 3 persons in one room.  It is somewhere like living a bedspacer in Metro Manila.  It still lingers in my mind to do my career and personal goals, so I took all these challenges.

In Singapore, you can taste the foods from all walks of culture.  However, during those times I have to buy a two dollar hotdog or nasi lemak or chicken rice that's equivalent to a student meal or a somai with rice in PH.  I remember when I was on college, we used to buy those very cheap street foods.  In SG, yes I also do that to survive, together with my dear filled water bottle.

Transportation is a "need" here.  Only when your Ez-link has "top-up" or load, then you can travel.  Walking is also best option only if you are within 1km.  Unlike in, PH some can do "1-2-3 Takbo" or riding a jeepney without paying.

How did I plan?

My earnings are traditionally done with 80/20 portion.  The 20% will  be given to my Charity Account where it is subdivided into my tithes and offering as 10%; people who ask for unexpected circumstances and personal accounts.

The 80% will definitely my all other expenses.  Aside from paying Public Utility Bills (PUB), Phone Bills, House Rental, to top-up my Ez-Link Card for whole month transportation and allowance for my Cheat Day/ Medical Expenses, I do prioritize my family.  Within my priorities are parents who are undergoing medical treatment and taking supplement, my scholar who's our youngest.  The rest I put on my saving to faithfully to realized my dreams.

I remember to finance my dream of putting up preschool is a year.  Every month was S$350 to S$500 (or Php10,200 to Php17,000).  This will also deprived me from going party every Friday night though I was not really into it.  What I mean to making an opportunity for you to spend on temporal happiness.  So then, the second year was a continuous sacrifices even until the school is initiating there.

IF I DIDN'T REALIZED THESE THINGS EARLIER ON, I WILL BE THE SAME OTHER EMPLOYEES LIVING OVERSEAS, WITHOUT NOTHING BACK HOME.  I WILL REMAIN AS HUMAN MECHANICAL THAT WORKS FOR DUE BILLS OR DEBTS EVERY MONTH.  I HOPE TO SEMI-RETIRED WHEN I REACHED 35 YEARS OLD.  MORE TIME WITH MY OWN FAMILY AND MANAGING ESTABLISHED BUSINESSES.
